Three Cards...Similar Design!

Happy June 1st!  It's hard to believe that June is already here!  It has not seemed like summer here in Oklahoma yet with all of the rain and storms.  However, we have desperately needed the rain but would prefer to do without the disasters and devastation that has bombarded our beautiful state! Last night, Ada was spared any major storms.  I only got 1.5 inches of rain but it was welcomed since I needed to water the sod!!!  As the many graphics on FB have stated:  We Are Oklahoma Strong!  Please keep praying for our State and continuing recovery efforts!

Now on to some scraplifting! 

In my last post I shared with you a card design created from the Sn@p! paper line from Simple Stories and this one is more of the same!  I used the last three cards that I had left from the previous design and simply turned them over to the other side which is a diagonal stripe design!  You can see from the pictures below that these are very simple cards! 

I used some of the sentiments from my new stamp set!  As much as I love sending cards, I will have fun making more using these sayings and sending them to family and friends! 

Card 1:  Keep Your Chin Up
I used the gold and white stripe as the first layer of the card.  This card is actually 4 X 6 inches.  The striped cardstock was trimmed to 5 3/4 X 3 3/4 inches.  A solid gold was used to layer on top and was trimmed to 5 1/4 X 3 1/4 inches.  I used the strip from the striped paper that is polka dot on the other side as an accent on the solid gold.  A black ink was used to stamp the sentiment and accent on the solid yellow.  I dug in my stash of silk flowers and found a yellow that coordinated and added a pop of color with the pink smaller flower.  A clear jewel flower was glued in the center.  A very simple but clean and classy design! 

Card 2:  Hang In There!  Don't Get Discouraged
Second verse...same as the first!  I just turned the card the other direction!  This one is orange and white!  I know just the family to send this one to and it will be sent on Monday! 

Card 3:   I Need You To Stay SANE...
I think this sentiment is one of my favorites!  The stamp on the inside says:  "You are the only normal friend I've got!" 


I did this design slightly different.  I used a solid blue to matt another coordinating pink and white polka dot paper.  I stamped the sentiment on white paper with pink ink.  The bakers twine was wrapped and tied around the blue and white strip only.  Again, a very simple card to make!

It took me about 20 minutes to do all three of these cards!
