I unpacked my stuff today and then decided to make a card to share on the blog. When I was looking for inspiration for card designs at the crop, I decided to search for card sketches instead of just looking at completed cards. This really helps me to think outside of the box and not feel like I have to create the exact same thing! I pinned the idea for this card when looking for ideas on Saturday.
This inspiration came from Vicki Burdick's sketch challenge #179.
- I used the Cuddlebug to emboss the white paper used on the top of the card. The paper was cut 2 1/2 inches X 4 inches.
- A simple pink squiggly line paper was used for the bottom. Dimensions are 3 1/2 inches by 4 inches. Overlap the pink on top of the white to cover the whole front of the card.
- A variety of pink and brown ribbons were used to create the little ribbon strips. I used adhesive to glue the three strips down.
- Cut a 3/4 inch X 4 inch dark brown card stock strip and add a 1/8 inch ribbon to decorate.
- I used a circle template to cut the 2 inch pink circle and 1 1/2 inch white circle.
- I chose a cute butterfly to stamp on the white circle, but you can use a sentiment, candles, or any other stamp of your choice.
- I wanted the circles to have dimension so I used think pop dots to attach the circle over the brown strip.
