Sorry, I Frog-got!

Sorry I've been away for a few days!  It's been a busy week!

This post is about a product I learned about at the CKC Convention in San Marcos last Fall It is a Post-it Craft Paper that is fully adhesive.  A great product to do quick and easy projects and one that kids can use as well!  To learn more, check out their website at post-it.com/craft   The picture to the right shows a piece of the craft paper with the paper back that is peeled off.

For this project I used some stamps but I'm not sure what brand they are.  However, you could find a frog picture and create the sentiment with your computer quite easily!

Here's the steps for creating this card:
  • Create your card base using a 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 inch piece of white cardstock.  Score at 4 1/4 inches.  Fold to create card.
  • Cut a light blue piece of Post-it craft paper and center on the front of card.
  • Using a oval cutter, cut a half oval at any angle you would like out of a brown piece of the Post-it craft paper.  Adhere it to the bottom of the light blue paper to create your pond bank.
  • Stamp the frog and lilly pad on a piece of kelly green Post-it paper and trim it to 1/8 inch around the stamped image.  Use black ink.
  • Stamp the sentiment, "Sorry I Frog-got your birthday" on a lime green piece of Post-it craft paper.  Punch corners with corner rounder.  Layer this piece the brown Post-it craft paper and trim edges to 1/8 inch.  Punch corners of brown paper with corner rounder.
  • Place sentiment in top left corner, leaving a 1/8 inch border of light blue on the top and left.  Place the frog on the light blue, overlapping the sentiment if needed.
  • Cut a 1/4 circle to create the son in the corner.  cut the rays out in any pattern you wish.
  • Stamp the sentiment, "Have a Hoppy Birthday!" on the inside of the card.
That's all there is to it!  A very simple card to create and I completed it in about 10 minutes!
